my hair is very long and thin, and i'm thinking of getting a fringe. would that just make my hair look even more thin?

I don't think so, although I haven't seen your hair. I lost A LOT of hair after I had my last baby and I got fairly heavy fringe in the front. It made it look much better. It looked more like an actual "nice hairstyle" than just long, thin "nothing hair".
