Fine hair needs conditioning, but not in the form of a heavy overly cosmetic conditioner~

You could start by using a volumizing shampoo, and a conditioner in the form of a spray leave-in. It doesnt weigh down the hair, yet, its a leave in so it will protect the hair.

Try not to overweigh the hair with too many styling products.

Hair spray or products with alcohol in them dry out the hair.

Rusk has a good product called 'blo foam' its a mousse that has a nozzle that is good at getting the product in at the roots opposed to all over the hair.

You put it in the hair before drying.

When blo-waving your hair, try to dry it in the opposite direction, to give it lift, also you could use large velcro rollers (when 70% dry) and leave them in the hair until it's completely dry, to give you lift. You will need to over direct the rollers, (when rolling them down, make sure you lift the hair up at more than 90 degree angle)

Then when the hair is dry, blow some heat on it, then blast it with some cold air (if your blo dryer has that function). The quick burst of cold air will help to set the hair.

Good luck with trying this out.

Firstly try changing the shampoo and conditioner you use.

Redken and Rusk have great shampoos and conditioners for fine hair. Also remember that with salon conditioners you only need to use a very small amount, and only use it on the mid-lengths and ends of your hair.

Well I would start with a volumizing spray. (not a mousse, gel, or creme..these will weigh your hair down) Blow-drying the hair upside down is always a good bet, but heat styling on thinner hair can be especially damaging. A good method that doesn't involve heat styling is using large (1 to 2 in. in diameter) velcro rollers in your hair. All you would need to do is spray your hair with a volumizing spray and a style setting spray and roll your hair in these while it's damp and let it dry. The large rollers will give your hair a more voluminous appearance. Using a good volumizing shampoo and conditioner prior to this is a good idea. Only apply the conditioner to the bottom half of your hair though. Hope that helps!

Hopefully, you hair is no longer than shoulder length because us thin, limp haired girls have no business having long, long hair. I feel your pain. First, get a good cut. It makes a huge difference. Then, secondly don't use conditioner when you wash. It will only drag your hair down. If you want you can use a shampoo/conditioner combo, but nothing stronger than that. Finally, I found a great product that I love. It's a pomade. It's in a little can and the brand is called Got 2 Be. The style I get is called "playful". It's not too expensive and it's very light. It gives my hair good body. I put it on wet and then blow dry. You only need a little bit. And it doesn't make you hair greasy either. Good luck!

Conditioner will cause your hair to go flat and not stay. Use a clarifier shampoo - it isn't loaded with conditioner. Get a body wave--that is the most successful way. There are also volumizing gels, etc.

1)Styling moose- when hair is damp not soaked get a dab of mousse and rub it in ur hands then rub ur hands all in ur hair to the roots

2) Blow dry your hair underneath.[[meanning flip your hair and dry]] it makes it look like u have a lot more hair than u really do

3) When blow drying use a round brush and pull from the roots while putting the hair drying directly where the brush is

Use Aussie Volumizing shampoo/conditioner and aussie gel-mousse fusion and just run it through your hair, you have to brush it after it dries though because if you don't it'll look really crunchy, but after you brush it out your hair looks instantly fuller. I also recommend if you blow dry your hair, put your head down and blow dry it like that. Hope I helped
