HELP!?!? I hate my super thin, baby fine hair. I have no idea how to style it and give it body...?

any suggestions on a cut or style that would work for me??

I can relate because I too have baby fine hair. Here's how I manage mine:

(1) I keep my hair fairly short %26amp; cut in short layers

(2) I get a perm every six months, as it changes the texture of my hair, making it more manageable

(3) I use Pantene hair products on my hair, including the "spray gel" that I spray in/comb through, before using the blow dryer/curling iron.

(4) I get my ends trimmed every six weeks, so I don't have to worry about frizzy ends, which is common among those who have such fine hair

Try making choppy layers so that it looks thicker and cute. Also, maybe if you cut your hair short, you'll like the look better.

Try a Felix haircut. It worked for me.

I have ((had)) the same problem. About a month ago, I got my hair cut short. It's just above the shoulder, and I got layers. That's what I suggest. My hair has so much more body now, more natural curls, and it's easier for me to style.

Splurge a little on a really good stylist.

The right cut can make all the difference.

Visit a couple salons and talk to the stylist before you let anyone touch your hair.....you should both be on the same page.

yes layering deffinatly gives the look of volume.

you should ask the person who cuts your hair what styles will fit your face and will give you volume at the same time. they should know.

Garnier Fructis has great products that make your hair huge.

Also you can take their quiz to know exactly what your hair needs.

I got mine cut to almost a crew cut! I have very baby fine hair and am allergic to all styling products. So I gave up and cut it all off. Now everyone is telling me how good it looks. By the way, I am in my 50's and still have the fine hair. Even the gray is not any coarser!

I have the same problem and the only way that I have found to make my hair have body and volume is to get medium layers (I have long hair though) and use gels or pastes. Bedhead and KMS have the best products I think.

I agree about having it cut shorter (right above the shoulder, or higher)

I've had the same problem all my life and that's the only way I ever get it to look like there's any body at all. Also try putting mousse in when it's wet and letting it dry kindof shaggy.

What's a Felix Haircut by the way??? I'd kinda like to know so I can see if it'd work for me too!!!! (Tried searching photobucket and google images..no luck)
