losing hair at 18. gosh that is so scary to even think about. Is there any History in my family of hair lost at a young age. Maybe you should look that up. Your docotor should know what to do. but maybe there is something in the meds. that is making you react to it. Try going to see another docotor. Sometimes docotors seem like they know what they are talking about. but it won't hurt to get another reading for someone one new.

OK, my hair is loosing too, but recently it start to slow down and I am start to see some baby hairs are GROWING. I had seen my doctor too. He gave me shampoo that doesn't work. In my pro opinion, it's probably from your medical cond. and will most likely start thickining again once your cond. stabilizes. Many medical problems affect your hair and if your diet changes and especially of you lose weight quickly your hair tends to thin and fall out.

For the time being try to be gentle to the hair you have to prevent from breaking the fragile hair (stay away from perming, coloring, using alot of hot tools*at least limit it).
